Privacy Policy
MercWork ("we," "us," or "our") operates this website and publishes software products, including the mobile game Qubiq (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Services collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.
We aim to collect as little information as we can while still running a healthy product. If anything below is unclear, email privacy@mercwork.com and we'll answer in plain language.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
If you contact us by email, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, email address, and the message body. We use that information solely to respond to your inquiry.
1.2 Information collected automatically in the app
When you use Qubiq, limited technical and gameplay information is processed on your device or transmitted to the services described below. We do not operate our own servers that store Qubiq player data.
- Apple Game Center. If you sign in to Game Center, Apple provides Qubiq with a pseudonymous Game Center identifier used to record leaderboard scores and achievement progress. Game Center is operated by Apple; its data practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- In-App Purchases (StoreKit). When you purchase in-app currency (Qubits) or other items, Apple processes the transaction. We receive a signed transaction record from Apple — we do not receive your name, billing address, or payment method. Apple's data practices apply to the payment itself.
- Advertising (Google AdMob). Qubiq displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device advertising identifier, IP address, coarse location, device information, and interactions with ads. If you grant App Tracking Transparency permission, AdMob may use this data to serve personalized ads; if you decline or have not granted permission, AdMob serves non-personalized ads only. - Device information. Qubiq reads basic device characteristics (iOS version, device model, screen size) to render the game correctly. This information is processed on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Qubiq does not currently include first-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs. If we add one in the future, this policy will be updated and the change will be visible in a new effective date.
1.3 Website
This website is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not set advertising cookies or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may process standard web-server request data (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and abuse-prevention purposes; see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the Services you request.
- To deliver in-app purchases you have made.
- To serve relevant (or, where you have not consented, non-personalized) advertisements through AdMob.
- To record leaderboards and achievements through Game Center, if you choose to sign in.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Children's Privacy
Qubiq is designed for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@mercwork.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
When iOS indicates that a device is registered to a child account, Qubiq requests non-personalized advertising from AdMob regardless of App Tracking Transparency status, and relies on Apple's Ask to Buy flow for any in-app purchase.
5. Your Choices and Rights
- App Tracking Transparency. You can allow or deny tracking for advertising purposes at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Ad identifier reset. You can reset your device advertising identifier in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → (your device) → Reset.
- Game Center. You can sign out of Game Center at any time in iOS Settings. Doing so prevents future leaderboard or achievement submissions from Qubiq.
- Delete local data. Deleting Qubiq from your device removes all locally stored progress and preferences.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example, the right to access, correct, delete, or port personal information we hold about you (GDPR, UK GDPR), or the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (CCPA/CPRA). To exercise these rights, contact privacy@mercwork.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
6. Data Retention
We retain email correspondence only as long as necessary to address your inquiry and for reasonable record-keeping (typically no more than 24 months). Data processed by Apple, Google, and Cloudflare is retained according to those providers' policies.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we process. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.
8. International Transfers
The Services rely on third parties (Apple, Google, Cloudflare) that operate globally. Information processed through those services may be transferred to and stored in countries outside your own. Those providers implement their own safeguards for international transfers.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on the website before they take effect.
